Hi, I’m Shamere – the proud owner of The Curl Bar Salon in Sugar Hill, GA. I’ve had a passion for hair since I was 16 years old and turned it into a career when I graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2015, earning my cosmetology diploma. With over 10 years of experience as a licensed Master Cosmetologist, I specialize in natural hair, children’s hair and locs.
I opened The Curl Bar Salon 3 years ago with a mission to create a welcoming space that celebrates and cares for natural hair. When I’m not behind the chair – you can find me spending time with my two daughters, traveling, enjoying music and movies, or throwing a good party!

Hi, I’m Alaya – Junior Braider and Salon Assistant here at The Curl Bar Salon. Originally from Michigan, I’ve been part of the team for a little while now and I’m loving every moment of it! I’ve been passionate about braiding for several years, and I enjoy expressing my creativity through different styles – and yes, my look is always changing!
I’m quiet and down to earth, but when it comes to hair – I’m all in. I’m excited to keep growing in this industry and to be part of a team that inspires and supports me every day.
